    READ TO RIDE
    "Would you like to win a mountain bike?"   If you are between the ages fo 6 and 14 (by July 30, 2016) and a resident of Houghton/Keweenaw Counties, here's how.  Beginning May 16th through August 3rd, keep track of the number of books you have read by filling out your completed entry forms.  Forms can be picked up and returned to the library.  A minimum of 20 bikes will be awarded.  For more information call the library or stop by during open hours.

     

    BOOK FAIR SUCCESS

    Many thanks to all who helped with June's Used Book Sale whether as a worker or a buyer!  The Friends of the Library will use these funds to help add books and other resources to the library collection.  If you would like to make suggestions, please join us at our next Friends meeting on Tues., August 9th.   (There will be no July meeting).  We will be welcoming our new board members and would like to have you there as well.  Many thanks to all who have renewed their Friends membership.  If you have not already joined, membership cards can be found at the library - yearly dues are only $10/person!
