Good things: Our average attendance rate for Term 1 was 95.38% with the senior class having the highest attendance rate overall. Did you know that school attendance is a powerful predictor of student success? Great job CHS!
I also wanted to share our academic goal for the first semester with everyone. Our goal is that students will pass 95% of their classes. We are on the right track as of Term 1 we are at a 96.87% pass rate.
Congratulations to the girls basketball teams on their victories over Iron Mountain last night!
Good luck to the JV hockey team as they travel to Houghton this evening!
Good luck to the bowling teams tomorrow as they compete at Millers!
It's time for some light-hearted holiday fun and some friendly competition! The staff at CHS are asking students to write a CHS themed version of "The 12 days of Christmas". Submit your song lyrics to jpeters@clkschools.org or drop them off at the 2nd floor office by the end of the day on December 13. The winner will be chosen by the faculty and announced at the CHS Holiday Pep Assembly on Tuesday, December 20th. Yes, there will be a prize and there may even be a special performance of the song for all to enjoy! Group submissions are accepted. If you have questions, stop in to see Mrs. Peters

The Annual Toys for Tots drive is underway, toys should be unwrapped in original packaging. New this year we are also accepting monetary donations, items and funds can be dropped off in the second floor office.

Come and see the Senior Class Present ‘A Christmas Chaos’ at the Calumet Theatre, tonight at 7 or tomorrow at 2. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
